As the Northern Indiana Historical Power Association (NIHPA), our club promotes the preservation, restoration and demonstration of antique farm equipment. The club’s main focus is on tractors, steam engines & gas-powered stationary engines along with antique plowing, planting and harvesting equipment. These pieces of equipment began their lives as a way of making a living and now NIHPA has begun using them as an educational avenue for younger generations to come as a preservation of power.

We meet monthly at Sunset Hill Farm County Park in Valparaiso, IN.
Director’s meetings are held on the 2nd Wednesday of the month and start at 7:30 pm.
Membership meetings are held on the last Wednesday of the month and also start at 7:30 pm.

Workdays: Second Saturday of each month – 10:00 am

Our main event is the Annual Fall Harvest Festival and Antique Equipment Show, scheduled for the last full weekend in September. Along with our featured tractors and engines we look forward to the return of The American Truck Historical Society and Winamac Old Auto Club. We also host a flea market and craft fair every year during the show and there is a concession area.

If you are interested in exhibiting equipment or being a vendor (flea market, craft or concession) then please send an email to nihpamembership@yahoo.com.
